About KTC
Leading telecom company of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, STC has launched its sister concern in Kuwait naming KTC, which is third largest telecom company in Kuwait. The Kuwait Telecommunications Company (KTC) was established in June 2008 to operate and manage the third GSM mobile network. KTC ventured into telecom industry and grew to third largest telecom company of the Kuwait within 10 months. It left other competitors far behind on the basis of the quality, services and standard.
Communication Strategy
Being a telecom company, KTC deals in communication related strategies with latest technologies. They had a concept of service provision – Bulk SMS and MMS sending. To make it factual they needed an application which can serve as the medium of service and total monitoring. SMS/MMS sending objective can not be achieved using related hardware or software without the control over the process. And more to it, there should be a restriction on the access areas of various users along with bilingual support of Arabic.
Project Summary
Application developed would facilitate user with the prime functionality of sending Bulk SMS/MMS to the hundreds of recipients at the same time and provide its user to access application as per their levels. There would be a centralized control over all the functionality/ abilities of the system/ application. Admin would have all the access that includes introducing new users in the system, granting access to them of different levels, managing the information related to users and system and much more.
It would facilitate the users with basic functionalities like – template management for SMS/MMS, recipient data management and sender ID management etc. It would be feature rich, varied from the end user yet centrally managed and controlled web application.
It has to be developed in both Arabic and English language.
Target Audience
KTC’s Bulk SMS/ MMS sending application’s target audiences are locals of Kuwait (Dealers and single users) and internal staff of KTC, which would use the application to its maximum possible extent with the access granted to him. It is meant for sole use of Sending Bulk SMS/MMS for any user logged in. Additional features use depends on user’s wish.
Users have to be introduced in the system by Admin and end users by their related administrator (dealers). It is developed with a concept of local use, as it has been developed in Arabic too.
Results
Web Application came into existence for KTC and its subscribers is like an online tool of sending Bulk SMS/MMS to number of recipient at the same time. More it facilitates to use with the statistical and managing part of his/ her data in the application, which may be the users, packages, mobile numbers or his own information.
Admin section enables his to master the application, he can manage each and every aspect of the application which include – introduction of new dealers/ operators in the system – for which they are informed through the emails in their authenticated accounts, granting or holding of certain permission to both of them,. Admin can introduce new packages in the system, can modify the existing ones. Below are functionalities available for the users of all level–
- Using Both language – English for international users, Arabic for local users of Middle East
- sending SMS/MMS
- Creation and management of SMS/MMS sending templates
- Mobile Numbers – file upload, one by one entry of the numbers, database file upload for certain formats and management of the same
- Creation of SMS/MMS sending schedules and its management
- Personal information management
- Information management of assigned users
- Various reports
Admin and next level users can allocate the SMS/ MMS quota to users under them in the system as well as generate the related reports.
